================= ALaRI Master Study announcment ======================

Dear Friends,

As in previous years the University of Lugano (south of Switzerland, near Italian border) in cooperation with several other leading European Universities and major industrial companies runs a very interesting ALaRI Masters study programme for 'New graduates', professionals and 'Non graduates' in the following ICT/Electronics/Embedded Systems related fields:

Architectures, Control Theory, Cryptography, Dependable Systems, Design Technologies, Digital Signal Processing, Hw/Sw Codesign, Microelectronics, Networking, Performance Evaluation, Power Analysis & Low Power Design, Real Time Databases, Re-programmable Systems, Retargetable Compilers, RTOS & Scheduling, Software Compilers, Software Technologies, Specification Languages, Validation and Verification, VLIW Architectures

The programme has several sponsored, 1-2 years scholarships, which might be distributed among students from CEE countries, typically in the end years of their studies, PhD students or those at the beginning of their professional career. If you are already employed as an engineer in a company, you may be granted a special scholarship under the condition to go back to the mother company. For PhD students and those interested in a part of the offered courses an individual study plan can be designed by prof. Umberto Bondi (see also below).

The program is open to:

- New graduates from engineering programs in Electronics, Informatics (Computer Engineering), Telecommunications, as well as Communication Sciences programs (Computer Science).
- The program is also open to graduates of Science programs in Physics, Mathematics or other faculties with a technical/scientific component. Professionals from the fields of Electronics and/or Computer Science with 3 to 4 years of experience.
- Non graduates with relevant experience will be admitted based on a detailed Curriculum Vitae (Resume) and a Letter of Interest detailing past experience and its relevance to the program.

Moreover, successful applicants will be helped by a special 'accomodation in Switzerland' programme. Additionally, in most cases, University is able to offer to students a part-time job, paid in the range of 300 to maximum of 400 CHF/month.

Last year 14 students from Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine have successfully used this splendid opportunity. If you want to learn their experience and get an 'insider view' you are welcome to contact some them:
